About Us

Owners, Nicholas and Angela, pride themselves in their choice of unique and individualised jewellery and Nicholas’ miniature carved Australiana pieces can be found amongst the vast array of his designs. Opals are another passion of Nicholas' and are becoming a prominent feature in the shop. A new pet project of What Women Want is making gold threaded beads to fit fashionable Pandora style bracelets and the costs can be minimised by using the customer’s own gold. The emphasis is on quality and price and all jewellery is guaranteed against faulty workmanship. .

For those who love antique jewellery, there are second hand and antique “gems” to be discovered and uninterrupted browsing is encouraged and welcomed. If you can’t find anything to buy, you may even be able to sell unwanted gold and diamond jewellery, or see Nicholas about remodelling your family heirloom pieces.

Situated in the St George Building at the Woolworths’ end of City Square, What Women Want offers a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, enhanced by a new staff member, Vivienne, a talented textile artist (currently exhibiting at The Bunker Gallery and Greenstone Gallery) who has a flair for colour and design and yet is another gem to add to the already well-stocked boutique.

Nicholas and Angela would like to take this opportunity to thank existing loyal customers for their support and encouragement during the past three years and invite those who have not yet visited the shop to do so.
